Ian Parry Scholarship-2019

Ian Parry was a photojournalist who sacrifices his life during an assignment for The Sunday Times in Romanian revolution in 1989. He was just 24 years old at that time. Aidan Sullivan, a picture editor, and Ian’s friends and family created the Ian Parry Scholarship in order to build something positive from his tragic death. Every year the foundation hold an international photographic competition for young photographers who are either attending a full-time photographic course or are under 24.

This year’s Ian Parry Scholarship is divided into two categories: 

  • The Sunday Times Award for Achievement
  • The Canon Award for Potential.

The entry criteria for both is the same and the judges will make their decisions based on the individual merits.

Entrants must submit a portfolio and a clear proposal of a project they would undertake if they won the scholarship.

There is no entry fee.

Who are eligible, either attending a full-time photographic course or are under 24.

Benefits include:

NIOS- TheNational Institute of Open Schooling formerly known as National Open School (NOS) was established in November-1989 as an autonomous organisation in intrest of National Policy on Education 1986 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. What is kind scholarship for young women?

Kind Scholarship for Young female students is an initiative and empowerment plan to give young women the opportunity to build a foundation for their bright carrier. The scholarship board invites applications from girl students in class 9 and above, who are facing financial constraints in their pursuit to continue their education.

Who is eligible for scholarship?

  • Any girl student.
  • Indian national.
  • studying at – Class 9 to 12, Graduation, ITI, Polytechnic, Vocational & Professional Courses (CA, CS)
  • Annual household income must be less than INR 4 Lacs
  • Cleared the previous examination with at least 60% marks.

Scholarship amount as per qualification-:

  • Scholarship amount for class 9 & 10 students-INR 6,000 per year.
  • Class 11 & 12 students- INR 12,000 per year.
  • Polytechnic / ITI / Diploma / Graduation & Others- INR 18,000 per year.

Selection Procedure

Indian Navy University Admission-2019 eligible candidates will have to undergo Naval Campus Selection process. Candidates qualifying the campus interview will be shortlisted got SSB interview on the basis of his/her preference for the entry, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.

Candidates shortlisted during campus interview will be called for SSB interview at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Vishakapatnam/Kolkata between Dec 18 to April 19.

Selected candidates will be informed on their email as provided by candidates in their application form.

Return First Class (AC III Tier/AC Chair Car) rail fare is admissible for SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for this commission on production of railway ticket. Candidates need to carry photocopy of first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C no and IFSC details are mentioned while appearing for SSB interview.

The training is scheduled to commence in June 2019 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.
